Monopoly Live Dream Catcher Edition is a highly entertaining game released by Evolution having been first showcased at ICE 2019. Although this game is officially a follow-on from Dream Catcher with a Monopoly theme, it’s safe to say that this version very much has a mind of its own and feels like a very different playing experience.
This site aims to be your number one resource for everything Monopoly Live! Not only have we provided you with a betting strategy based on several 100’s of hours of play, but we’ve also compiled a list of the best Monopoly Live casinos at which to test out that strategy. You can even stay up to date with the most recent big wins on Monopoly Live by visiting our Monopoly Live Big Wins feed!
Monopoly Live Dream Catcher is the only live casino game on the market that brings together the two concepts of live-streamed gambling and RNG bonus round play you would find in video slot games. This is due to the prospect of landing the “2 Rolls” or “4 Rolls” bonus feature during gameplay which have the potential for very large payouts, hence the reason Evolution Gaming have capped the maximum payout to £500,000.
Make no mistake, Monopoly Live is a game that requires a disciplined strategy and, indeed, the only way to be in with a real long term chance of big wins is to define the strategy that suits your playing requirements and expectations. If you manage to keep your feet on the ground and stick to your limits then there’s a very good chance you’ll be able to get the Monopoly Man’s feet on the board by hitting the Rolls segments and be in with a chance of very large wins.
So before we delve into the potential of the bonus round and the odds involved, let’s look at how the base game itself actually works. The game is based on a spinning wheel, very much like Dream Catcher.
In the middle of the very well presented studio you will see the monopoly wheel, a presenter ready to spin and to their left you will see the cartoony Monopoly Man, also known as Mr Monopoly and Rich Uncle Pennybags, sitting in his chair toying with us all, reading the newspaper. The wheel itself has 54 segments in total with values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 Rolls, 4 Rolls and Chance.
This ratio of segments on the wheel makes the overwhelmingly likely result on each spin to be ‘1’ or ‘2’. This is a fact that really must feature in your playing strategy. It is extremely important to bear in mind that although the ‘4 Rolls’ result is by far the most profitable, it is also the least likely result on the wheel making it all the more necessary to ‘hedge’ your bets. This is a game which requires a measured approach more than any other.
The gameplay is quite simple, at least when it comes to placing the bets, albeit quite fast as you only have some 12 seconds to place your bets. While the green “Place Your Bets” banner is active, make sure to select your stake from £0.10, £0.50, £1, £5, £25 and £100, and place the casino chips on desired numbers (segments). Undo, Double and Bet on All options are also at your disposal.
There are just six segments you can bet on and payouts/features are clearly outlined on each, meaning there is no need to check the Game Rules or Paytable constantly.
In the bottom right corner, you will have the opportunity to view the outcome of the last 24 betting rounds. And while this can be helpful when deciding on the appropriate betting strategy in any given time, bear in mind that each spin of the wheel is independent of the last one and don’t go crazy with betting heavily on 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls in case it has been a while since the bonus round was last activated.

Even though betting limits differ from one Monopoly Live casino to the next, Evolution clearly had both casual punters and high rollers in mind when designing Dream Catcher Monopoly Live.
Betting starts at £0.10 per segment and this is also the minimum wager you can place per round. Maximum bet limit is usually either £2,500 or £5,000, depending on the casino and the segment you are betting on.
Looking at the payouts per number, it is clear that the maximum win in the base game is £20,000. Meanwhile, Evolution has capped the maximum win in the bonus round at £500,000, which clearly suggests the features triggered by 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls have outstanding potential.
While 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls segments trigger the main bonus round, Chance segments can also award big wins and improve your bankroll while you are waiting for the main prize.
There are just two of these on the Monopoly Live wheel, and the probability of the wheel landing on Chance is a mere 3.70% (2/54). But, what happens when the Chance feature hits?
A card showing a Cash Prize or a Multiplier Bonus is drawn, with the first pretty self-explanatory. Should you receive the Multiplier Bonus, the card will reveal a multiplier that will be applied to the next spin of the wheel, where all bets from the previous spin will remain in place and winnings will be multiplied.
In case you receive two multipliers in a row, the multipliers will be multiplied. Not sure what that means? Here is a couple of examples.
Example 1
Example 2
In case the wheel lands on 2 Rolls or 4 Rolls on respin and you placed a bet on the corresponding segment in the original spin, all Bonus Round wins will be multiplied.
One of the reasons why Monopoly Live has become so popular so quickly is the thoroughly impressive bonus round that has the potential to award massive wins, as witnessed by Evolution’s decision to cap bonus round wins at £500,000.
The bonus game is where the 3D animation kicks in, and the entire process resembles that of elaborate bonus features in modern video slots.
Once you have chosen your favourite Monopoly Live casino, in order to stand any chance of profiting from the bonus game, you need to have placed a bet on 2 Rolls or 4 Rolls. You can still watch the game if it strikes without you placing said wagers, but that is not nearly as entertaining.
It is the live studio presenter who rolls the dice, and that is the only control he has over the game. When dice are rolled, Mr Monopoly moves across the board, covering the same number of steps as indicated on the dice roll. Each time he stops, the square he lands on determines your prize.
The original monopoly board game layout is in place, with the following features spread across the board: Utilities, Properties, Railways, Free Parking. Chance, Taxes, GO, Community Chest and Go to Jail.
Here’s a little clip from Evolution themselves showing the big potential available with this game. More objectively, it’s a good way to display how the game works in terms of how the chance segments can link up with the bonus feature to create extra volatility and potential for large wins.
You can watch the video here.
The average chance for you to land a feature of any kind on the Monopoly Live wheel (including the ‘Chance’ segments) is around 9/1. That means, on average, for every 9 spins of the wheel there’s a reasonable likelihood that one of the features will land. This is by no means an exact science. It simply serves to give you an idea of the averages.
The specific are RTP however, can be given a number. The RTP for the entire game provided that optimal betting is taking place would be 96.23%. The worst-case scenario would be 91.30% if you were making much more volatile and/or non-optimised bets. That gives this game an RTP range of around 91% – 96% which is actually fairly well in line with most slot games.
The biggest thing to take away from this is that it’s more correct to view this game more similarly to how you would view a slot game rather than a traditional live casino game like Blackjack or Roulette.
In terms of actually landing the Monopoly Man feature, the ‘2 Rolls’ feature has a 3/54 chance with the ‘4 Rolls’ feature having a 1/54 chance. So you can imagine, it really can go a long while without hitting either the ‘2 Rolls’ or the ‘4 Rolls’ feature. That’s why we are constantly stressing the importance of strategic betting. It’s on you to make sure you get the most out of the available RTP.
Monopoly Live has a maximum win capped at £500,000. This may seem to be an excessively high cap, however, due to the large potential offered via the ability to land on the ‘Chance’ feature in successive rolls, it’s possible for the game to create extremely large wins. We think that it’s encouraging to see such a high cap and applaud Evolution Gaming for allowing the game to unleash its full potential.
Undeniably, Monopoly Live is a game of strategy. That’s why we have created a dedicated Monopoly live betting strategy page to discuss and encourage different available strategies with different levels of volatility. There are opportunities with this game to play with either a ‘tight’ or a ‘loose’ outlook and we feel that it’s important for you to fully understand both before you spend significant time or money playing this game.
With all online casino games, including live dealer casino titles, there are droves of people lining up to claim foul play. Thankfully in this particular case, we can say without any shadow of a doubt that the Monopoly Live game is not in any way rigged. We have spent several 100’s of hours playing this game. We have had long periods of loss and also long periods of wins with some very large wins thrown in for good measure.
Our calculations show that across this very long time period of play, the averages and RTP mentioned above ring absolutely true. The only reasonable conclusion we can come to is that the wheel is on no way rigged or tampered with and that each spin is indeed a true spin. Furthermore, Monopoly Live along with the full library of games offered by Evolution Gaming is tested and certified for fair play by the world-leading Gaming Laboratories International.
Monopoly Live is a game that has been executed perfectly. The Evolution team have looked very closely at Dream Catcher and tried to understand what was missing. As far as we are concerned, they have correctly identified that what was missing is a more interesting theme and an integrated bonus round with high volatility.
It seems that they have done an excellent job in creating this live gaming experience and we expect that it will only grow in popularity in the coming years. It’s also fair to say that the casinos that host Monopoly Live are profiting extensively from the gameplay that is occurring.
On the flip side, it’s extremely important to conclude that this fact is not due to unfair profitability of the game for the casinos but rather due to the fact that the vast majority of players are not sticking to a reasonable playing strategy.
Our biggest summary of Monopoly Live is not for the game but rather for you. If you take only one thing from the information on this website please let it be the fact that you will get much much more for your money with more chances to win big if you stick to a conservative playing strategy as described in the strategy guide. The only thing left to say now is simply, good luck!
