Alternative Playing Strategies

We call this an “alternative” strategy not because it’s necessarily any less effective but rather because it’s not a strategy we would choose to adopt ourselves. There is an opportunity with games like Monopoly Live and Dreamcatcher. This put simply is to look at them as if they were a roulette wheel.
You can look at the most likely outcomes and hedge your bet with those outcomes to protect your riskier bet. Yes, that’s exactly what the strategies above do but here we will look at how to change your bet each round to retain an edge.
Let’s imagine you are betting £1.00 on 2 Rolls (the most likely feature to land) and £1.00 on 1 Section (the most likely section to land). This in itself is a fairly savvy strategy as it means that if you’re not lucky enough to hit the 2 Rolls then at least the most likely section would give you your money back.
The problem with this is that if you have a run out of spins that don’t hit 1 Section or 2 Rolls then it can become an unrecoverable loss. Within reason anyway. This is where we can look at altering the bet in each round. The idea is to leave the 2 Rolls stake as it is at £1 but increase the 1 Section stake each round. Let’s lay it out.
- Round 1 – 1 Section (£1.00), 2 Rolls (£1.00)
- Round 2 – 1 Section (£3.00), 2 Rolls (£1.00)
- Round 3 – 1 Section (£7.00), 2 Rolls (£1.00)
As you can see, the idea here is to increase the bet on 1 Section on each successive spin until you hit it, thereby making your play essentially free. But be warned, in the event of there being a large run of results that do not hit the 1 section, this could become very pricey, very quickly.
However, if you play with very large balances and don’t mind increasing to large levels then this strategy may well be for you. It’s also worth pointing out that the 1 Section hits on average once every 2 spins so if you hit a good run you could find yourself betting endlessly on 2 Rolls with virtually no cost.
